Lenovo’s ThinkPad T400s, is a slim and light weight model that is designed to provide its users with features of portability, good performance, cost and energy efficiency. The notebook is the thinnest notebook from the Lenovo and the lightest model in the T Series, Its weight is almost 3.91 pounds has thickness of 0.82 inches.
Using the Intel Core2 Duo SP9400 that has clock rate of 2.4GHz and L2 cache of 6MB the Lenovo has very good performance mainly due to the L2 cache which is more than enough for the 2.4GHz processor. If the demand of the processor speed increases one can find the notebook with an Intel Core2 Duo SP9600 which is a 2.53 GHz processor. The Lenovo ThinkPad T400s has a DDR3 technology Physical memory of 4 GB normally which can be extended to 8GB later depending on the requirement.
Display of the notebook is a 14.1” LED, has a maximum resolution of 1440×900 and has an Intel GME 4500 Graphic card thus providing a good graphical performance though not very good for the gaming purposes. Normally the laptop comes with a storage capacity of 128 GB SSD FDE SATA. A blue Ray and DVD RW is also available in the Lenovo ThinkPad T400s.
The notebook has Intel’s Wifi and Wimax support and has a built in camera of 2 Mega pixels and also has a multi-touch touchpad. Integrated fingerprint security system is provided in the notebook along with a trusted platform module to provide security to the users. The notebook has two types of batteries available; a 6 cell Li Ion Prismatic Battery that can provide up to 5.5 hrs and a 3 cell Ultra Bay battery that can up to 8.5 hrs. The battery can be selected according to the need of the users.
