ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 announced by International Cricket Council to be hosted by South Asian Countries. Cricket is the most famous game in South Asia and people here are crazy for it. Three South Asian test playing countries that include Indian, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh will be the Co-host of ICC World Cup Cricket 2011. World Cup 2011 matches are scheduled to be taken place from February 2011 till April 2010. The Opening Ceremony of ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 will be carried out by Bangladesh and held on 18th February, 2011.
Fourteen Cricket Nations are participating in the ICC World Cup. Out of Fourteen 10 are test playing nations and rest of the countries are associate members. The rest 4 associate member countries have to go through qualifying tournament, which has held earlier this year in South Africa. In 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, two groups are made with seven teams in each group. Each team has to play against other group teams in the group stage. Two groups are Group A and Group B, which are as follows:
Group A: Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya
Group B: India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands
49 matches will be played in the tournament at different venues, where 29 matches including quarterfinal and final will be hosted by Cricket giant India, 12 matches including quarterfinals and semifinal will be managed by Sri Lanka and rest 8 matches including 2 quarterfinals will be stage by Bangladesh.
