Those who are using iOS devices know that why they need to jailbreak their device and just like that many Windows Phone 7 users would feel that they also need to jailbreak their device so that they can run apps other than that are authorized by Microsoft. Microsoft launched Windows Phone 7 last week and we are already hearing that hackers are working to jailbreak this device.
One Australian developer Chris Walshie has been able to run native app on this WP7 device successfully. This would allow for future applicatio
ns to be run on the device.According to Long Zheng of istartedsomething Walshie discovered a DLL called “Microsoft.Phone.InteropServices”, which if exploited could provide users root access to the device.
Well if this jailbreaking technique is successful then Windows Phone 7 users could get access to the microphone or camera, or even overriding the Bing search bar, allowing for users to customize their search engine.
Still these are early days for Windows Phone 7 and it would take a lot more time to see anything like Cyndia for Windows Phone 7.
